Privacy Policy

Last Updated: May 31, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how your information is handled when you use the World Cup 2026 Organizer mobile application (the "App").

We are committed to protecting your privacy. The App is designed to prioritize user data security, storing your collection progress locally on your device, with optional secure authentication for trading.

1. Information We Collect

A. Authentication and Profile Information

To enable the sticker exchange features, you may optionally sign in using your Google account. If you sign in, we access and store the following profile information via Firebase Authentication:

  • Your unique Google ID, name, email address, and profile picture URL.

This data is stored locally on your device and is used exclusively to identify you to other collectors when participating in sticker trading sessions.

B. Sticker Exchange and Connection Data

To perform local sticker exchanges with other users, the App establishes direct, secure peer-to-peer connections using the WebRTC protocol. Establishing these connections involves:

  • Signaling Data: Exchanging temporary network signaling data (such as local IP addresses, connection ports, and session descriptions) through our coordinator to establish a direct link between devices. This data is not logged or stored on our servers once a connection is established or aborted.
  • Exchange Details: The sticker trading process occurs directly between the devices. Your trade logs and results are stored only locally on your device.

C. Non-Personal and Application Data

Any other data created or modified while using the App is kept strictly on your device. This includes:

  • Sticker Collection Progress: Stickers collected, sticker numbers marked as missing, scan logs, and group stats.
  • App Preferences: Language selection (English, Português, Español, Deutsch).

2. Data Storage and Processing

All application data is stored locally in your device's private sandboxed storage within a secure SQLite database file.

  • No collection data is transmitted to our servers.
  • Uninstalling the App or clearing its data will permanently delete your local collection progress.

3. Device Permissions Used

To provide its core features, the App requires the following permissions:

  • Camera (CAMERA): Used to scan physical sticker pages to automatically detect and log sticker numbers into your collection. Camera capture processing is done entirely on-device, and no video or image feeds are uploaded or stored.
  • Internet & Network State: Used to fetch national flags, sticker statistics, and load Google AdSense advertisements.

4. Third-Party Services and Advertising

The App integrates with the following third-party services:

  • Firebase Authentication: We use Firebase Authentication (managed by Google) to secure and manage your Google Sign-In sessions. Firebase collects basic authentication identifiers to facilitate login sessions. You can read their privacy policy at: Firebase Privacy Policy.
  • Google AdSense: We display advertisements on the dashboard using Google AdSense. Google and its partners may collect and use information (such as device identifiers, cookies, or IP address) to serve personalized ads based on your visits to this and other apps/websites.

You can learn more about how Google manages data in its ad products by visiting: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

5. Children’s Privacy

Since the App does not collect any personal information, it is fully compliant with COPPA and GDPR requirements. We do not knowingly target or collect data from children under the age of 13.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
